Original Sin
Starring: Angelina Jolie, Antonio Banderas, Thomas Jane and Jack Thompson
Directed by: Michael Cristofer
Rating: R
Running Time: 112 min.
Synopsis- An early-1900s Cuban tycoon, portrayed by Antonio Banderas, is plunged into a world of deceit when he discovers that his young femme fatale bride, played by Angelina Jolie, is more than he bargained for.
My Opinion- I read all of the bad reviews for this movie before I went to see it, and after I saw it. For some reason tho, I still kind of liked it. It was sort of mysterious romance, and even tho I didn't care to see Angelina Jolie naked, I did get to see Antonio Banders's butt. The movie was definitely a little on the strange side tho, and the film has parts in it that jump several seconds ahead. the end of the movie tho, made it worth seeing.
Legally Blonde
Starring: Reese Witherspoon, Luke Wilson, Selma Blair and Matthew Davis
Directed by: Robert Luketic
Rating: PG-13
Running Time: 95 min.
Synopsis- A young blonde woman is dumped by her boyfriend when he goes to Harvard law school. To show him that she's more than just a dumb blonde, she enrolls in law school there herself, eventually taking on a big murder case in Beverly Hills.
My Opinion- I think this movie was definitely very funny. It had those "oh-my-gosh-i-feel-so-sorry-for-her" parts as well, and some of them were actually tear worthy.
America's Sweathearts
Starring: Julia Roberts, John Cusack, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Billy Crystal
Directed by: Joe Roth
Rating: PG-13
Running Time: 100 min.
Synopsis- Recently separated, a married movie-star couple are forced to promote the movie they made together while they were still in love. The film's publicist concocts a story of the couple's reunion. In reality, the actor has fallen in love with his wife's formerly overweight assistant, and the actress has found a new beau named Hector.
My Opinion- The movie was sweet in it own little way, but I don't see how a sister can date her sisters ex-husband. There should be a law against that or something.
Dr. Dolittle 2
Starring: Eddie Murphy, Kristen Wilson, Raven Symone and Kyla Pratt
Directed by: Steve Carr III
Rating: PG
Running Time: 90 min.
Synopsis- Eddie Murphy is back, and this time his task is to save the endangered Pacific Western Bear, which of course has no chance of surviving if it doesn't have a mate. Dolittle searches and finds Bruno, a big-hearted performing bear with a fondness for fast food. Dolittle's challenge is to reintegrate Bruno into the wild and help him make a love connection -- but he has only three weeks to do it!
My Opinion- Some of it was funny, but altogether I didn't like the movie. I don't know why tho...it was just nothing special.
Scary Movie 2
Starring: Chris Elliott, Shawn Wayans, Marlon Wayans and Anna Faris
Directed by: Keenen Ivory Wayans
Rating: R
Running Time: 82 min.
Synopsis- The Wayans brothers are back with the sequel they promised not to make, this time spoofing the demon-possession genre of horror movies. A year after Doofy Gilmore killed several dumb teenagers, a new killer returns to kill Cindy and some more stupid teens.
My Opinion- While it wasn't as funny as Scary Movie, this was a very funny movie. Thats about all there is to it tho.
