Title: Timeless Wish
Author: Barbara Sheridan

Corby Hillhouse wears a badge, rides a horse and wants nothing more than a woman in his life to love.   As he keeps the peace in his jurisdiction he also keeps a dark secret hidden within himself.  He wants to love but knows that emotion only kills those close to him.  So much so that he refuses to allow himself to get close to his young daughter.  Corby is willing to sacrifice getting close to her in order to save her, something she is too young to understand.

Laura Bennett has loved and lost and came close to leaving this world by her own hand.  As she takes on a decorating job she doesn’t really want she finds herself thrust into a time long past.  A place where a man, who up until then she’d only gazed at his face in an old photo album.  As she is thrust back and forth between her modern world and another, more rugged one, she would give anything to stay in the past where this man with heart wrenching, sad eyes.

Can Laura help Corby find the way to happiness and a realization that his love will not kill her?  Will she be able to help bridge the gap between father and daughter?  How can Corby trust a woman who has no past, not in the time he lives in?  Believe she transported from a future when there is no proof?  Read Timeless Wish and find out.

When I finished this book the one thing that stayed in my mind was how well the segments of time travel were done.  For the heroine being pushed back and forth, it was never done at an opportune time, rather at the worst possible moments for her.  There were no easy answers for her to give to others in either time.

Visit Barbara's home page to find out more about her, her books and what she's got coming up next for readers of Time Travel Romances.   You can read an excerpt from Timeless Wish and her next book Silver Rain due out in May 2000.
