Letters october 19 1999

dear love,
what have you done to my soul? i miss you so much. it actually hurts to think of you.
my breath becomes short. i get a pain in my chest, and butterflies in
my stomach. how did you do this to me? are you very strong? or am i very weak?

dear friend,
what have you done to my soul? i miss you almost as much. i cry when you're gone.
i laugh when you're here. you've helped me through so much.
where are you now? i'm weak without you.

dear family,
what have you done to my soul? i don't miss you as much. i'll see you again.
and if not, then oh well. i will try to stay strong.

dear lover,
what have you done to my soul? i don't miss you much. you barely affected me.
we had one good night. it was all in fun.

dear stranger,
what have you done to my soul? i don't miss you at all.
i never knew you. and i probably never will.

dear enemy,
what have you done to my soul? i'm glad you're not here. yet you affected me most.
more than the rest. you hurt me so much. and i hurt you. so did i affect you?
even more than the rest? you made me the strongest. and so i love you.
