This will explain the different frames of mind, or courts. Not the noble houses that the ruling class belong to, but the Seelie or Unseelie courts. At one time, a long time ago, the two courts used to reign together. Each taking the throne for one half of the year. The Seelie court started in the spring and ruled until the end of the summer, and the Unseelie would take the throne from the fall to the beginning of spring.
Each changeling has an Seelie and Unseelie side to them. The court just shows their outlook on life at that time., with the other side of them lurking at every step.
The Seelie court are traditionalists and seek the reunion between the mortal world and the Dreaming. They believe in the gathering and preserving Glamour. They place honor above all. The concepts of oathbreaking, treason, cowardice and other dishonorable behavior is unthinkable to them.
The Unseelie court mocks the traditional Seelie, thinking them outdated and stuffy. They have a reputation of fostering war and madness, despising those weaker than themselves. They see themselves as visionaries, bring change and transformation through whatever means neccessary. It is best to look at these two by their codes that the follow.
