Another Airport Disaster

A woman strolled through the Cincinnati airport, carrying a briefcase and a black carryon bag. She was of average height, with dark red hair pulled into a French twist. She wore a small silver toaster on a thin silver chain around her neck and wore a black shirt and black knee length skirt. She had on high heeled black shoes, the same kind her mother wore when she was younger. Her FBI issued gun was tucked away safely in her briefcase.

She took a look around. Sarah had told her that she would be waiting, but there was no sign of her anywhere. She stood puzzled for a few minutes, then saw a woman walking towards her, holding a Diet Coke in each hand. The woman was dressed similarly, in all black, professional clothing. She wore similar shoes, and the same toaster around her neck. Her very long dark hair was loose and flowing. Their gazes caught. “Sarahbelle!” Maggie shrieked, racing towards her twin.

“Maggsleeeeee!!” Sarah shouted back, racing towards Maggie.

They ran so fast, they slammed into each other full force. People were staring. The girls didn’t care. They threw their arms around each other and started jumping up and down like morons. “How are you?” Maggie practically shouted in Sarah’s ear.

“I’m fine! How are you?” Sarah hollered back, directly into Maggie’s ear. The girls pulled apart and Maggie grinned. “I’m okay.”

“Where are your kids?” Sarah asked.

“Rob and Laura? Oh, they’re home with Roger. They’re being pains in the ass, so I told them they can’t come with me.”

“Roger. I can’t believe you live with him just because his name is Roger Davis?”

Maggie looked surprised. “You can’t?”

Sarah contemplated her statement for a moment. “Well actually…yeah, I guess it makes perfect sense when you think about it.”

“When is Dani’s plane coming in?” Maggie suddenly asked.

“About two seconds. She’s bringing Seifer and Hydrogen with her,” Sarah answered. “Come on, this way!”

The girls hurried to gate 68 together. “I’m so excited to see Hydrogen,” Maggie said, expertly running in her high heeled shoes. “I wonder if he’s really telekinetic,” she wondered out loud.

“I wouldn’t be surprised. I mean, he is Dani’s kid.”

“Hey Sarah, whatever happened to Anna anyways?” Maggie asked.

Sarah sighed and looked forlorn. “She’s spontaneously combusted one day while she was waiting in line at the bank. It was terribly sad.”

“Oh, poor Seifer!” Maggie cried as they arrived at the gate. Passengers were getting off the plane.

“Yeah, but it’s okay. He and Dani were fated to be together. I think it had to do with the square glasses.”

And then, there was Dani.

She was a millionaire several times over, but was still wearing jeans and a black sweater. In one hand she carried a gigantic bag. Her other arm was wrapped around a young baby, who was sitting contentedly on her hip. “DANIBELLE!” the twins shouted.

Dani dropped her bag and then almost dropped her baby. “Oops,” she said, grabbing onto him and rushing into her sisters’ arms. “I’ve missed you guys so much!” she shrieked.

She pulled away proudly. “This is Hydrogen,” she proudly announced. “We call him Hydro.”

“Where’s Seifer?” Sarah asked, completely uninterested in the baby, who Maggie was cooing over.

“Oh, he had to stay in Russia. Secret business,” Dani said with a shrug. She turned to her baby. “Hydro sweetie, get Mommy’s bag for her, ‘kay?”

The baby gurgled, and suddenly, the bag that Dani had dropped levitated over to where the girls stood and landed on Sarah’s foot.

Sarah screamed and jumped back. “Dani! Your kid is trying to kill me!”

Dani laughed. “I don’t think he likes you very much, Sarahbelle.”

“Guys, no time for this. We have to catch our plane to DC to meet Missy and Sam about this whole apocalypse thing,” Maggie reminded them. “Come on!”

The three of them hurried over to gate 33 with fear in their hearts. They got there to find a man turning everyone away. “This flight has been cancelled!” he announced. “Everybody go somewhere else! Again, flight 33 to Washington, DC has been CANCELLED.”

“Hey! Nobody cancels my flights!” Sarah shouted, marching up to the man. She whipped out her badge and gun. She flashed it at the man. “Sarah Mulder, FBI!” she shouted in his face. “This plane is going to DC, and it’s going NOW!”

The man jumped back. “I’m sorry, ma’am,” he stuttered.

“Don’t call me ma’am!” Sarah shouted. “MY NAME IS AGENT SARAH MULDER, FBI!”

“I’m sorry…Agent, ah…Mulder, but the pilot was mysteriously beheaded. There’s no one to fly this plane.”

Maggie marched up, flashing her bag. “Agent Margaret Mulder, FBI. Agent Mulder is extremely capable of flying this plane. She flew our plane to safety when our mother had a baby when we were sixteen or so.”

“And Agent Mulder wouldn’t lie to you, as she would be endangering her own life,” Sarah added.

“Furthermore,” Maggie broke in, “you are obstructing an investigation being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where Agent Mulder and myself work.”

“What Agent Mulder is trying to say, sir,” Sarah cut in. “is that you’re pissing us off.”

The man looked back and forth between the girls, mystified now as to who was who. After a few minutes, he finally said, “Okay…go ahead…Agent Mulder.”

“Thank you,” they said simultaneously, then boarded the plane.

And if you want to know all the horrific mistakes Sarah made flying the plane, just imagine what could go wrong. It did go wrong. Except she didn’t crash. Isn’t that amazing?
