~~~IN A HEARTBEAT~~~

One
night
in Mid-
December
of 1949,I was
out with one of
my girlfriend's and
was headed to a nearby
skating rink. We chatted
about how nice it would be to
have some nice young man in our
lives to celebrate the holiday season
of Christmas and New Years with. It was
a crispy clear snowy night with stars glowing
in a dark crisp sky like glittering diamonds.
Lights
where
shining
in windows everywhere.

We arrived at the out-door rink where people young and old where skating,
hand in hand to the music. It all looked so romantic.
After walking around and observing all this romantic setting
I decided to sit down at the side of the rink
to put on my skates when, suddenly I looked up and saw a handsom young man
who asked if he could help me with my skates.

My heart jumped into my throat and in a heartbeat as I said
"yes, you may!"

Now, 50 years later, this wonderful encounter has
created 3 beautiful children who in turn have
blessed us with beautiful grand children.
