Hiking and Backpacking are what I like to do to "get away from it all." Among my favorite places are the Smokies and Black Mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina.

West Texas
Another great area I like to backpack is the western part of Texas. Big Bend (at right) and Guadulupe Mountains (below) National Parks are outstanding places to hike. After hiking in the Smokies, its nice to go some where it doesn’t rain often.
