A sparkle in one's eyes,
A smile upon one's lips,
and a happiness in one's heart...
that was our little 'Sheyenne'.
She always smiled or always laughed
and could brighten even the saddest heart.
I wondered at first how God
could take such a sweet, innocent gift of joy
from all those who loved her so very much.
Maybe the answer is in the fact
that she was such a pleasure and joy...
He needed a little one like her in heaven.
When I look out at night
up to the heavens above and see a bright star,
I think that maybe that's our little 'Sheyenne'
smiling down at us. May everyone she touched
find happiness in her memory.
[Written In Memory of Sheyenne]
More children die of SIDS in a year than all who die of cancer,
heart disease, pneumonia, child abuse, AIDS, cycstic fibrosis and
muscular dystrophy COMBINED...
I would now like to share with you an
excerpt from a letter that I received from the
Medical Examiner 33 years ago, when the angels
took Sheyenne to heaven:
"In the death of your child, the cause of death was Crib Death Syndrome.
Very little is known about this mystery which strikes down as many as
25,000 healthy, normal babies each year. Today there is still no known cause,
no prevention, no warning, no treatment and no cure. You must understand
that due to these facts, you MUST NOT - CAN NOT blame yourself for
your child's death."
Life After Sids
Click on above link if you would like to read
about my personal experience with Sids.
I have dedicated the last 33 years of my life searching for the cause of SIDS.
I have performed exhaustive hours of medical research, met with numerous
medical examiners, SIDS parents, researchers and medical professionals,
just to mention a few.
I have developed a theoretical cause. Henceforth, statistical data is required
before presenting the theory to universities and hospitals that are currently
performing SIDS research.
You can access the 2000 SIDS Questionnaire
by clicking on any of the2000 SIDS Questionnaire links or by clicking on any of the Sids Families banners.
You can print out the questionnaire in Word.doc format
from the menu below and mail it directly to me, along with any
documents you think would be of assistance, such as autopsy reports,
hospital records, etc. It is crucial that all SIDS parents be made
aware regarding the availability of the Global 2000 SIDS Questionnaire.
Therefore, if you belong to an organization that has a web site or if you
have additional avenues of distributing the questionnaire, your assistance
is needed and would be greatly appreciated.
In closing, I would like to state that I will not publicly announce my
theoretical cause at this time. I have received numerous private emails
regarding the 2000 SIDS Questionnaire.
SIDS parents and medical professionals alike have inquired as to my
theoretical cause.
Currently there is too much public confusion and mis-information regarding
the underlying cause(s)of SIDS. I do not wish to become a party to any debates,
false information or pre-conceived misconceptions without supporting
documentation and statistical data. I must receive the completed questionnaires
back and compile the data. This could take an extensive amount of time,
depending on how quickly SIDS parents return the questionnaire and other
variables.
The original submission end date for the 2000 SIDS Questionnaire
was July 16, 2006. However, due to the Scripps Howards Special Report
on SIDS; Saving Babies:Exposing Sudden Infant Death In America;
I have extended the submission end date of the Global 2000
SIDS Questionnaire to July 16, 2011.
Heaven lays before me, but my loved ones,
they cry for me. I'm in heaven now, can't they see?
To all the ones I've left below, I will always love you so.
Don't cry for me, dry your eyes...
because soon together, we will be.
On a personal note, I would like to thank my brother,
Joey, for without him introducing me to HTML,
(just enough for me to be dangerous),

this site would have taken a lot longer to become a
reality. My hope for the future of this site is to
add numerous other pages dedicated to my family as a whole.
Only then will it truly be a 'Legacy' Manor.
If you would like to find other people who have unfortunately been
touched by SIDS, please click on the Sids Families banner below.
This site is a very special place where you can share your sorrows,
joys, laughter or grief. Offer or receive support from those of us
who have traveled the long road to understanding and
you might just find a 'second' home and life long friends!
