I LOVE The X-Files. It pains me to criticize it. And when I do, it's only because I want something I love to meet its full potential. But I always try to give it the benefit of the doubt. Which is why there are rarely episodes that I really don't like. When I read other peoples' critiques and they criticize aspects of every episode, I think, Then don't watch the show! If all they are going to do is sit there and rake over all the things that are wrong with every episode, then for Pete's sake save yourself the trouble and us the agony and just don't watch the show. That's not to say that we should be little X-Files zombies--when it's crap, it's crap.

For the most part, though, there is something about every episode that I enjoy. If there's even that little part, you won't find that episode in here. This Vault is for those episodes that are SO BAD that I really could not bear to watch them again...simply because I actually do have better things to do with my time. Alas, no show can be 100% all the time, and the catch-22 of course, is that the more great episodes they come up with, the worse the bad ones become.

If there is some redeeming quality to any of the following episodes that you think will change my mind and take it out of this vault, please share with me. But click on the links to read my thoughts on the episodes first (unless I haven't written any thoughts yet--then it would make it excessively difficult to read them), so you know why I think they're so bad.

You'll notice perhaps that some of the ratings that I gave an episode don't really correspond with them being in here. Those ratings are me trying to be objective. The contents of this Vault are placed here out of pure and utter subjective opinion. This list is in alphabetical order.
