Okay, so it started out as a Top 10 list but I copped out. Look, I whittled away at my faves until there were 11 left. The last choice was impossible to make, so I took the easy way out--I made it a Top 11 list instead. Hey, my obsession is The X-Files. I'm allowed to be a little quirky.

---|---|---|---|
Ranking | Title | Author | Summary |
#11 | Cacophony | Scullysfan | Sometimes, silence is the loudest sound one will ever hear. |
#10 | If She Does Not Return; She Never Really Left; I Guess She's Mine | Brandon D. Ray & Vickie Moseley | Three-parter. Scully conducts a "scientific experiment" that creates a lot of MulderAngst (my favorite kind). |
#9 | Basketball Therapy | Kel | When Scully gets drawn into an investigation at a Maryland hospital, Mulder gets trapped in a deadly hostage situation. |
#8 | The Emissary | Darkstryder & RocketMan | They thought they could escape. They were wrong. Captured by their enemies and given new identities, Mulder and Scully are haunted by images of each other. Now, worlds apart, they must put their faith in their new "masters." Perhaps the Aliens haven't completely destroyed the humanity in mankind, and perhaps They aren't that different from us after all. |
#7 | A Hacker's Tale; Mulder's Tale; Scully's Tale | Madeleine Partous | A trilogy of how two FBI agents finally made it happen, along with some inadverdent help from a "troll." |
#6 | Eleventh Hour | Rachel Anton | Some feelings defy the confines of time. Sort of Pre-XF. |
#5 | The Eye Of the Beholder | Nascent | A series of mysterious murder/suicides has Mulder and Scully helping another FBI team. Mulder's called upon for his profiling abilities but has much more to offer. Scully has to grapple with defending her partner and his psychokinesis theory, his nightmares, and overtures of another agent. Lots of UST--the good kind. |
#4 | Eat It Too | Rachel Anton | It's Mulder's birthday and Scully wants to make it really special... (chases away all foul Fowl anxiety) |
#3 | The Way I Saw It | Jamie Lyn | Three POVs: Scully, Mulder, and Fowley. The Fowl is resentful because of the way Mulder worships Scully, Scully is ready to kick both of their asses (she doesn't see the worship), and Mulder gets beaten up when attempting to defend Scully's honor. |
#2 | By Her Side: The Series | Vickie Moseley | Bill Scully gets a call from his mother to go to his sister's side. But not for a reason he approves of. |
#1 | Desideratum | Laura Blaurosen & Rachel Anton | How far is too far to go in the name of love? |
