No matter what kind of business you or your corporation are in, your duty is to see that the enacted laws of the host country are complied with and implemented.
Recent developments of the laws in Arab countries in the fields of Intellectual property Rights, Environmental Law, Drugs of addictions, Money Laundering, Banking Laws, Employment and privatization legislation warrants the continuos education of judges and lawyers in these fields. Such a practice is never heard of in most Arab countries-ONCE YOU ARE A LAWYER YOU REMAIN ALWAYS A LAWYER REGARDLESS OF YOUR LACK OF UPDATING.
This situation has produced peculiar results and in some instances a substantial loss and damage.
The Author has tried his best to remedy this situation by initiating the Institute for International Law in Dubai where lawyers from most of Arab countries had participated in regular seminars and courses, But this came to an abrupt halt when the partners in that private institute split up. That experience had taught me that a certificate of attendance is what is aspired for.
It is of paramount importance therefore that your corporation should entrust it's affairs in safe and knowledgeable hands when doing business in Arab countries
