Short Answer Questions on Booker T.
Washington and W. E. B. Du Bois
5 points per question
In order to prepare for this part of the
test, you need to read through the information you have about Washington
and the selection from Du Bois in Social and Political Theory, keeping
in mind the questions you will be asked, and thinking through what the
answers are. I will tell you which 3 of these 6 questions you should answer.
You can use previously prepared 3x5" index cards. For each question, you
should answer as fully as possible. You do not need to repeat information
in more than one answer: you can simply refer to your previous answers
if you have already explained something. Your answer will be graded for:
-
grammar – each sentence should have a subject
and a verb.
-
spelling – especially for words that
are simple or are in the questions.
-
thoroughness – try to give at least 3 points
in each of your answers.
-
relevance – you should not just include any
information you can recall: it has to help to answer the question.
-
clarity – you need to set out your points
so they are easy to comprehend.
