As I stare at the sky,
I think of your clear blue eyes-
your gentle touch,
and how I loved your warm kisses so much.
As the sun shines upon my face,
I remember your warm embrace-
your sweet smile,
and how much you held your love for me in denial.
As a soft breeze begins to blow,
I remember your caring words and how they made me glow-
your soft and tender lips against mine,
and how it made me think everything would be fine.
As the birds begin to fly away,
I remember how you played your guitar all day-
your thoughtful gaze as you strummed a new song,
and how you acted like you could do no wrong.
As I watch the sun begin to set,
I remember everything we did with little regret.
How we experienced moments of passion and lust,
yet their was no love, which should have been a must.
As I lie in the soft green grass,
I wish this broken heart of mine would pass.
Closing my eyes I let the darkness engulf me,
And envision a world of you and me, one only I seem to see.
