A Mississippi Poet
David Brian Williams is a native of Gary, IN, by way of Jackson, Mississippi. He is
a graduate of Jackson State University and Boston College Law School with
additional graduate studies at Jackson State University. David is an Attorney, a
Teacher and a Technical Theater Professional. He is also an actor who has appeared
in projects ranging from the Warner Brothers film, A Time To Kill, and Real Life
Stories of the Highway Patrol, to ETV’s Magic Place. David is also a Professional
Production Stage Manager, Audio Engineer and Light Designer, with credits as
diverse as Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, The O’Jays, Brian McKnight, Wayne
Newton, Willie Nelson, The Temptations, Sinbad, Steve Harvey, George Clinton
and The P-Funk All Stars, Waylon Jennings, Johnnie Gill, Keith Sweat, Home,
What Ever Happened to Black Love , and The Pirates of Penzance. David is
presently employed with the City of Jackson. He is the author of a book of poetry SIMPLE LOVE
and three poster poems.
