Ranma Saotome is a boy who when out training with his father to China. When there they went to the Cursed Training grounds of Jusenkyo. There Ranma fell into one of the cursed springs. Because of this Ranma when splashed with cold water becomes a girl and when he is splashed with hot water he changes back into a boy.
    Afterwards his father took Ranma to visit his friend Soun Tendo. This is because Ranma is forced to piock a fiance from Soun's daughters. Soun's youngest daughter Akane is picked for him. They don't get along because Akane hates boys and because Ranma saw Akane in the Nude. Where she promptly labeled him a pervert.
