...believe that I am descended from Benjamin Weaks (will of 1744) and Mary Chase through their second son, Archelaus who married Sarah Braddy. They lived in Nancemond Co, Va which is adjacent to Halifax County, NC. Their oldest son was Benjamin born about 1745. He married Mary Anderson Harris in Nov 1766. His first born was James Weeks, who was declared an orphan of Benjamin Weeks in Edgecombe County in 1783. James Weeks(his father's brother) was appointed as his guardian. James(the younger) married Rhoda Alsobrook,and their second son, Garry was born in 1796 and he married Eliza Ann Rhodes. Garry's oldest son was Benjamin Weeks, born in 1835 who married Margana O'Neal ln McNairy Co Tn. Their youngest son Charly (my grandfather) was born in 1874 and he married Martha Luticia Morris in 1895. Their children were Gladys, Horry Anderson, Oda, Charly Victor, and Annie Marie. Horry born Mar 24, 1899 and died Jan 2, 1976 was my father. He married Fannie Maurine Hearn 9-6-1924. Two children, Charles Edward 6/25/1925-10/20/31; Mildred Louise Weeks,11/1/1926-
