What is Magic, anyway? Is it a feeling? A experience? Or a belief? I have to come to believe that it is a natural being, that really isn't a being at all. Magic, to me, is the Natural energies of the world coming together to form miraculous events. A rainbow is magic, the process of life is magic, and love is magic. Magic is not some "work of the devil" in Christian lore *thou shalt not suffer a witch to live* kind of thing, magic is not only worked through spellwork, it is a natural occurance made in everyday life. Even if people were not here there would still be magic.
Witches like to spell magic as "magick" to differentiate it from the more common "magic" as "magic" is usually related to magicians illusions and tricks. "Magick", however, is not an illusion and not a trick. A Witch has recognized the ability everyone has, the ability to direct energies to suit her will. Now you're thinking of "turning princes into frogs" aren't you? Well, no, most Witch's will tell you they do only good, or "white" magick. I believe there is no "white" or "black" magick. Only a Grey, because you cannot do good without doing some bad as well. You need an example? Killing a duck so you can eat does no good to the ducklings left in the nest, but it does you considerable good.
I hope I have explained my view of magic(k) well, so you understand what I believe. This does not mean you will agree, but perhaps you will, and I have put it into better context for you!
