About Phi Kappa
Phi Kappa National Fraternity, Inc. is one of the
oldest fraternities for high school aged men in the
nation. It was founded February 3, 1900 at the Southern
University Preparatory School in Greensboro, Alabama, on
the principles of brotherhood, scholarship, community
service and faith in God. Its titular founder was Jacob
Broughton Nelson. There have been chapters in Alabama,
Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisianna, Texas,
Florida and Arkansas. Currently, there are ten active
chapters in Mississippi and one in Mobile, AL. Phi
Kappa is a social fraternity that has for one hundred years enhanced the lives of its members by developing
leadership, building friendships and creating memories.
Every year members from every chapter gather for
National Conclave in the spring and National Convention
in the summer.
