Paul Spaeth was born on March 24, 1983. He is 19 years old and his home is in Slinger, Wisconsin. He started playing piano when he was 5 years old.
When asked about his first compositions, he wrote, "I began composing soon after starting piano lessons... it's hard to say when I composed my first piece of music, because it started as bits and pieces, and not necessarily full songs...I didn't usually WRITE out
music by hand, I was lucky enough to have parents who funded my musical projects without delay and so I had a Yamaha Clavinova by first grade (an electronic keyboard) and it had a disk drive and such so that I
could record what I played on the keyboard, adding layers of instruments on top of that, etc... So that's how I started composing.
I would say that was about age 6-8...My first MAJOR work was written when I was 12, and it won "Best Instrumental Ensemble" in the state of Wisconsin for
Middle Schoolers! That was also around the time I knew I wanted to be a film composer. And from there things grew VERY quickly ever since."
Paul is currently attending University of Southern California for music composition and film scoring. He self-produced the cd Cobalt Blue. Everything "except for the manufacturing."
*Cool Spaeth Quotes*
"Music can go so much deeper than words and the emotions it carries along with it can therefore affect a person much more strongly. It is my belief that the purpose of music-makers in general is to lift the being from this world into a higher realm. My favorite quote: "After silence, that which comes closest to expressing the inexpressible is music." How very true. It is my hope that this music will not only strike the listener as fresh and alive, but also touch them in these musically fundamental ways."

"The meaning of life is to be an individual - then be true to yourself, true to others, and contribute to the world in your own way - the way you can best. Once we see ourselves fit into that puzzle as infinite as the universe, there's nothing more to truly want."

"I gave a concert as a senior in high school of all my own pieces which also included the high school band
and choir. It was an awesome experience to be able to give back to that little town a portion of all that it has given me. I've had SO much support from little Slinger, Wisconsin. It was a huge success and I'm glad to say my first true concert was done for that generous community."
