A Positive Faith

Our life is based on faith …. By faith … what we believe determines how we life and our standards …

Heb 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.  39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Have you ever doubted the power of God … Thomas did … I have

Story  of  Peter – Let me come – looked around – doubted – call to the Lord – saved – we are often like Peter.

Isreal – faith to leave – in wilderness doubted, sinned – ready to cross over – doubted

Numbers 13:3-30 & Numbers 14:1-3; Numbers 14:7-12; Numbers 14:30-33

We come from the bondage of sin today when we obey the Gospel, we are delivered from the bondage of sin just as they were delivered from the bondage of salvary.  There we receive the law and go into the wilderness the Church.

John 3:16 – we live in this world (wilderness) by faith Heb. 10:38 Then we come to the end of life and are  ready to enter into his rest (promised land).

Re 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Let us not doubt as they did.

Heb. 3:7-17

O’yes we live in doubt today and so we worry!!  Worry comes from doubt and worry makes you a prisoner.  You are, therefore, tense, depressed, fearful and cannot perform.  Because of fear and doubt we do not take the actions that are needed.

Re 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Php 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Why should we worry about any thing except that we love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.  We need to be concerned that the do the will of God.  Do the bests be can and let God take care of the rest.

Job-trials --- he said the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.

Job 1:21 (KJV)

And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.

Mt 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The stronger our faith the greater our reast and peace

We are commanded to pry not doubting -  1Ti 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

1Jo 5:14 Ά And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Are you a Christian? If not then why not – you cannot save yourself – If not hear what God has said. Isa. 55:3

God is able to deliver you.

Mt 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

24 Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.
