Faithfullness of Jesus

Luke 2:49-52 As a young child Christ was faithful to his parents & God.

Eph 6:1 ¶ Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

Christ went down to be bpatized of John.  "Suffer it to be so now, for this it becometh us to fulfill all rightness.(Mat 3:15)

Tempted in the wilderness:

Mat. 4:1-4

Mat. 4:5-7    2 Timothy 2:15

1Co 10:9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

Mat. 4:8-10

We are to love Christ above all.

Christ was faithful in proclaiming the message God gave him "Repent for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand"

John 14:49-50 Joh 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.  50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

1Pe 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Jesus was faithfull in all things even to the one who betrayed him.

Joh 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Christ was faithful in all things that were written of him.  This was not easy or pleasant but he did.

Mat. 26:48 &51-56

Mat. 27:1-2 &18-24; 25-34 & 45-50

Jesus was faithful in all things - & suffered all things for us

Heb. 5:8-90

Jesus suffered all things for us because he loved us.

What is it that he calls for us to Love  and obey him.

Joh 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

To feed on his word is nothing compared to his suffering.

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

1Pe 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

It isn't anything that he ask us to love him more than all.

Mt 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.  38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

He is not asking too much when calls us to remember his death each week.

How can we say that we love him more than father or mother if we miss his assembly to go fishing, hunting, swimming, ball playing, ect.

you would not skip the funeral of a brother or sister to do these things let alone you mother or father's.

When Christ calls us to keep ourselves pure he is not asking too much and he is not asking anything that he did not do himself.

Jas 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Rom. 12:1-2

How can we say we are unspotted when things of this world come before his church.  Work, Family, Play

Remember 1 John 2:15-17 1Jo 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

1Pe 3:18 ¶ For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Let's allow the spirit to quicken us that we may be faithfull to Christ as he was to God in all things.  Rev 2:10

If each month you paid all your bills but 2 would you be called faithful or have good credit.

If you car started 3 out of 4 times would you consider it faithful

If kyour paper boy skipped you one Sunday a month would he be faithful.?? would you pay him the full amount.??

Jesus is faithful in all things Heb 3:1 ¶ Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;  2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

Are we faithful Christians.??

Are Christian to be one we must:

John 8:24

Luke 13:3

Mat. 10:32

Mark 16:16
