Help From Other Side

Wreck ...Visiting

Ps 46:1-7  & Ps 121:1-8

Many feel that God cannot or will not help, since the time of inspiration of the Holy Spirit is over that there is really nothing for the Holy Spirit to do in our lives...

This leaves us with only ourselves to depend on and we are weak.

Divine help is there ... there to help in time of temptation

1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Sure we will be tempted -  Christ was _ we must be, but we do not have to fail.  We do not have to succumb to sin.  God will provide a way of escape.

There is divine help in every time of need.

Heb. 4:14-16

Paul had a thorn in the flesh & God assured him - "My grace is sufficient for thee." 2Co 12:8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.  9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Paul said he was persecuted & afflicted at Antioch, Iconium, Lyster.  He said "What persecution I endured; but out of them all the Lord delivered me."

The promises of God are clear and positive.  So let us come with courage to God's throne of grace to receive his forgiveness and find him responsive when we need his help.

Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

1Pe 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Php 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Rom. 8:28

Heb. 13:5-6

He even helps us to pray as we should.  Many think that they cannot pray... they do not understand.

Ro 8:26 ¶ Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

If I had to write a legal letter to a judge.. I wouldn't know how or what ; I would need a lawyer ... a child writing a letter gets an adult to help him put across the message he wants.  In like manner the Holy Spirit helps us.

Even when we fall into sin there is help form the other side.

1Jo 2:1 ¶ My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:  2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Even the angles are there to help us in our hour of need.  Why shouldn't we call on him then for help and receive.

Heb 1:13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

How could we fail?  How could we be lost???God doesn't fail we fail ourselves.  We leave him.  That is the only way we could fail.

We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ro 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

We fail because of unbelief.  We are lost because we don't asks.

We don't ask because we do not believe.

WE feel were are too bad for God to save us (wrong)

We feel that we are not able to live up to God's expectations(wrong again)

For lack of faith some don't think that they are required to keep the teachings in this Book. (wrong)

Rom. 10:17   2Pe 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

1 Peter 1:3-5

There is also help to those who are outside of Christ.

Ro 5:6 ¶ For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.  7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.  8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:16

Eph. 2:12-18

The word and the spirit work hand in hand to deliver us to Jesus Christ that we may obey him .. his gospel.

Heb. 5:9  .... Ro 1:16 ¶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
