Is it enough

Mat. 25:1-13

 

What about our oil??  Every virgin had oil and every Christian has oil .... is it enough"::?/

 

Too many people say tomorrow I'll get my oil or more oil ... too late

 

WE cannot borrow from someone else -  neither can we expect someone else to watch and warn us of his coming. 

 Re 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

 

We need to be ready ... are we if he came now!

Do we have enough oil in our lamps

 

The oil in their lamps is like the faith in our lives.. Is our faith strong enough  John 3:16 &  Heb 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

 

 Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

 

Hebrews at Kadesh Barnea (Numbers 14) --  Peter on the water - faith failed began to sink ... mustard seed - is it enough

Is our faith strong enough or is a dead faith.

 

James 2:13-26

 

What about our works  .. are they  enough ... virgins oil wasn't enough is ours full enough.??  Our lives  should be full  of good works filled up pressed down and running over.

 

One may say I have works  ...  I was baptized - Is that enough??

visit the hospital  enough""??  Do work on the building enough?

cutting grass??? ect  I  preach do we prepare enough to  preach the gospel with power.

 

 Lu 22:36-38 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his script: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.  37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end. 38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

 

What about spreading the gospel.  Would our works stand the test of fire?????

1Co 3:13-15 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.  14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.  15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

 

Do we pray enough????/

 

Is our faith enough??  Christ said that if we had faith as a grain of mustard seed we could move mountains.

 

Though we have all faith, and all works  - do we have enough.

 1Co 13:1 -3 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.  3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

 

Christ said "Love the Lord thy God with all....."

and "Love thy neighbor as thyself"

 

 Joh 14:15 ¶ If ye love me, keep my commandments.

 1Jo 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

 

This is the love our neighbor that we are concerned about his soul.... most important thing that he has.

 Mr 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

 

let satan steal his soul because we do not love him.

 

What about our life .. do we have enough oil.::"? How is our faith ... our works  - our love  are we filled with these??

 

Woe unto us if we are not!!!!  The Lord is returning Just as with the virgins  taking vengeance on all that know not God.

 2Pe 3:9 ¶ The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

 11 ¶ Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

 

Is repentance needful in your life.??/Don't put it off

today now is the time of salvation!!!!!

 

Christ says come the Bride says come ..  God says come ... all who hear say come !!
