Little Things

 

Their was this man who was riding a horse through the wood and he heared a voice that said stop.  So he stop and got off his horse.  The he hear a voice say "go down to the river a get pick up some stones".  So the man went down to the river and pick up a couple of stones.  Then he here the voice say "tomorrow you will be both happy and sad.  so he went home he laid the stone on the dresser.  The next morning when he got up sure enough he was happy and sad.  He was happy because the stones that he pick up were gold.  He was sad because he did not pick up more.

 

This goes to show that some of the small thing that we don't think are worth anything can be great. it might much later before you realize. 

 

John 6:5-13

 

We a lot of time forget that god can take the little things that we have or do and make them great.

 

Today let conseder some stones that we as christian need to pickup. 

 

First  is the way we live our life.  Whether you want to or not we influence people jsut on how we live our life.  We set a example by the way we life and as christians we need to make sure that this is a good example.  Matt. 5:13-16

 

The second  is assembling with our brother.  This is so important because when we are out in the world a lot of time it seems that we stand alone.  But, when we get around more Chirstians, we encourges us to see that their other people who under stand the trials the we face.

Heb 10:24-25

 

A third thing is obedence.  Obeying God's word is a very important  no matter how insignificant we might think it is.  a Good example is 2 Kings 5:9-14

 

The the fourth thing is prayer.  This is the sometime can be the greatest thing that we have.

James 5:15-16

Mat. 7:7-11

our prayers is our way to talk to God and is essentual to have a good relationship with God.

 

The fifth thing is forgiveness.  I need to be able to forgive.  Mat. 18:21-35

 

We the last thing I going to talk about is help people.  Helping people show a great example to the world.  but most of all it is our chance for us to give others what  God has blessed us with.  and God expects us to do so.

Mat. 25:31-46

 

So these little stones that we can pick up can be great thing.  We might not realize how great they are when we do them.  It may be later on when we see the results it haves on us and the world around us.  Even if we don't see the effects in during our life, we will see the effect when we get to heaven.
