"Look What You Made Me Do!"
People often say this or have this attitude of feeling in their heart.
Children frequently say this.
"He made me do it."
"He started it."
Two boys in a fight last week-"He started it."

Adam tried to blame Eve and Eve tried to blame the serpent.
Aron sought to put the responsiblity of his sins on the people then the fire.
Ex 32:21-30
We have heard this: "When I was young they made me go to church all the
time, so when I got older I quit the church."
"Look what they made me do."

Didn't parents make you take a bath, brush your teeth, comb your hair?
Have we quit this too?
Parents are suppose to bring their children to worship service with them.
Eph 6:4
"Father provoke not your children to wrath, but bring them up in the nurture
and admonition of the Lord."
A song leader was told by an elder, that they wanted someone else to
lead the singing that day. He became very angry and quit the church.
He says "the elder made him quit the church."
"A man in Tennessee was going to quit....."
Elders have a right to over see the church and make such decisions.
Acts 20:28
"Take heed therfore unto yourselves and to all the flock, over which the Holy Ghost has made
you overseers, to feed the Church of God, which he has purchased with his
own blood."
They are commanded by God to do such.
There are no permanent positions in the church.
Selfishness was the cause here-not the elder.
I John 1:7
If we are not in fellowship with the church, (brethren), then we
are not walking in the light.
A person drinks for business or social reasons and says "If they had
not put it out there and insisted, I would not have done it."
"They made me do it."
"The devil made me do it."
Col 4:5
"Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time."

Often people get angry, bose their temper, and take the name of God in
vain and later say or "think" "you caused me to", "you made me do it"

curse and swear, knowing it was wrong but each blaming the other.

There is a place for controlled anger-but never a place for cursing.
There is no honor in holding your temper, if there is never an
occasion to turn it lose."

"Thou shalt not take the name of thy Lord in vain, for the Lord
will not ghold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain."
James 1:26

Jesus said,
"Let your speech be yes & nay-more in evil.
"Every idle word....."
Often we hear this "I got sick and they didn't visit me; so I
quit the church."
"Look what they made me do."
James 5:14
Do you do that?
Did you call someone?
Have you visited others when they were sick?
Do we go to church to be served or to serve?
Jesus said,
"Even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto but to minister,
and to give his life a ransom for many."
They weren't friendly so I quit going-see how awful they are, they
made me quit church.
Being friendly is as much your responsibility as it is the other fellow.
Must be a friend to have a friend.
We go to church to worship God-not just to be friendly.
Glory seekers have said, "They wouldn't call on me so I quit.
Why go to church?
Must follow as well as lead. (Pray, wait on table, etc.)
Young people become worldly and quit.
They didn't do anything for the young people-what do the
church do for me or you?
What is the purpose of the Church?
An elder wondered how the church would get along without him so he
