Satan is bound

When Christ came to the earth Satan came to test him and tried to get him to fall.  He challenged Christ and fought him in many different ways.

Mat 4:1-11

Re 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Re 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

No longer is Satan able to come before God and accuse us as he did Job.  But he was cast into the earth.  However today, he cannot overpower us, Jesus Christ because Christ bound him.

Mat. 12:24-30

Jesus took away power from Sand and bound him.  Now he is no longer able to over power a man and possess him.

Mt 4:24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

Notice they were sick, had diseases and some were possessed with devils as well as lunatick, and had palsy.  They were not just sick, or had a mental disease, they were possessed of the devil.

Mt 8:28 ¶ And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.

Jesus cast them out in to a herd of swine and they ran violently in the sea.

Zec 13:1  In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

Zec 13:2  And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.

Ac 8:7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.

The apostles were able to cast them out and did cast out all that were left behind when Christ ascended.

Acts 19:12-16

This seems to be the last ones that were cast out.  We no longer have the power to cast him out but we can keep him by obedience to the word of God and Jesus Christ.

Re 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Today Satan does not have the power to overcome and possess anyone, of his own will.  We must allow him in.

2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

Satan and his angels are bound in chains of darkness waiting for the Judgment day.

Rev. 20:1-7

But Satan and his angels have power to deceive.  We need to be ware of him and his power.  He is angry and is walking about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may deceive and devour.

1Pe 5:8 ¶ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

2Co 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Satan cannot possess you but he can deceive you and cause you to be lost.  Be ware of his deceptions.

2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Be careful that Satan does not deceive you.  Do not allow false teaching to seduce you.

Isaiah 55:3

Rom. 10:17 & Heb. 11:6

Acts 17:30 & 2 Peter 3:9

Mat. 10:32 & Rom. 10:10

Mark 16:16 & 1 Peter 3:21

Do not be fooled!!

Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16;

Ac 8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

Gal. 3:27  This puts us in Jesus Christ and we put him on.
