Blood



Blood is the essence of life. -- blood is a liquid( salt solution) in which lives red blood cells - oxygen, food, waste, also there lives the white blood cells - the fight infection and disease. It is the life of the body.

Gen. 9:4-6
Acts 15:20 "abstain from things strangled and from blood"
Lev. 17:10-15

Moses turned the water to blood (Gen. 7:13-21)

It was blood that was put on the door post - so the death angle would pass over. Ex. 12:3-13

From the very beginning GOd required a blood sacrifice from man for sin. Gen. 4:2-10 To Spill blood to murder.

Heb. 2:22 "Without shedding of Blood there is no remission of sin.

Blood sacrifices were required under the Law of Moses. Lev 17:1-6

If we don't proclaim God's word truthfully and honestly and with the power of sincerely - the blood of the lost will be upon us. In a figurative way there blood will be upon us for in part we will be responsible for their spiritual death.

To teach a lie about salvation in Christ is to commit spiritual murder.


Jesus's blood was the ultimate sacrifice for sin. By his blood we have a new and better covenant with God.

Heb. 9:12-23 so Jesus's blood is the blood of the New Testament.

Heb. 10:1-14

Eph. 2:13 "but now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were afar off are made nigh by the blood of Christ."

I Peter 1:2&18-19

Bought by it Acts 20:28 ..feed the Church of God which he purchased with his own blood"

1 John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleansenth us from all sin."

Rom 5:9"much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from warth through him."

Eph. 1:7 "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace"

Rom. 1:5 "..to him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood."

How does Christ wash us form our sins? He died nearly 2000 years ago.

In Baptism Acts 22:16 His blood was shed in his death - we contact his death in baptism.

Rom. 6:3-6
