Free Will

 

2 Peter 3:9-11   2Pe 3:9 ¶ The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.  11 ¶ Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Repent   2 Peter 3:9  Luke 13:3  weeping and nashing of teeth.

 

Confess Rom. 10:10   Mat. 10:32  you will confess Every tounge shall confess Rom. 14:11

 

Baptized  Mark 16:16  1 Peter 3:21  Acts 22:16  you will be baptized with fire.

 

Newness of life  2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Rom. 12:1-2   Ro 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

You will be a new creature

  1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

 

 

You may not want to do these things and you do not have to.  But one day you will wish that you had.

 

 Mt 18:8 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.  9 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into  everlasting fire.

 

You may not think it matters. about the church

You may not want to obey Christ.
