-An hour and a half to kick off and the stadium is filling up, must be about 70,000 plus people in here right now. Join us for the final kick off of the season (excluding the relegation playoff from the top flight)
-Players out getting there warm-ups done, fans all set for the kick off in about 5 mins, following the ceremonious events.
-The SMFL Chief Executive gives his speech, in this less than important cup final. And then the players march out...standing for the anthems of England and the USA, not to forget SMFL's last and most definately not least. Players shake hands, march across, kick a few balls. Just a few more mins now...
-It's 442 against each other.
-And the toss winners Toffeemena have kicked off this cup final 4 mins late.
-And Delvecchio marches right up, only to be denied by Helguera
-Savio was forced into giving a corner...Prutton takes it...and it's cleared to safety.
-3 mins gone and barely a threat...push it!!
And he pushed it, that's the player. But Munchies gets away with a warning.
-Good teamwork by Silverbacks...broken down by an ever resilient Bean. Yes that's Mr. Bean!
-First shot after 6 mins
Min. 6 :(tof) Dave_Montero heads the ball back to N_Smith
... N_Smith smashed the ball towards the top corner!
... It floats over the keeper

How on earth that went awry I will never know
-Silverbacks back with the ball...Mr. Bean with another dispossession...and Dawson is right behind, it goes out for a throw.
A Silverbacks throw? I seem to have missed something, but Dawson threw it right at Savio's feet. It's like a gift...in fact it is Savio's birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, from Mr. Dawson.
-The unexperienced Smith, somewhat surprising on this stage, with the ball, charging down the wings, what pace? He crosses it in, Delvecchio rises to the header...but it sails right across for a goal kick.
-Dawson has brought down Delvecchio...looks a little hard. Seeing the replay Dawson should be given a yellow at least, Delvecchio looks like he's in pain, he's being stretchered off, Dawson got away with that one. VERY lucky of him.
Oh! Looks like Delvecchio is standing up again!
-My mouth is DRY...need ad rink, bloody employers expect me to sit on my arse this whole time...

That's the worse foul so far! The manager is fuming...but in all fairness they had 2 warnings too, one that deserved a card too!!
-Del. being brought back on now...running around aimlessly, that mad hatter Dawkins screaming his arse off.
-20 mins gone and not much to say for it.
Ooohhh!! Did I speak too soon...Goal (not the one with the dodgy name, he isn't even here tonight) kicks is just wide from outside the area.
-Toffeemen on the counter...Smith charging, Delvecchio touching it back to Smith, the Silverbacks defenders exhaustidly following, Pasquarello, one of the best keepers around, coming a little forward...Smith kicks it, off the post...Delvecchio gets to it and KICKS................OH!! It's fumbled. The Toffeemen manager, and fans up, the Silverbacks folk in awe and relief.
-How on earth that opportunity of a lifetime was missed I don't know. Will it cost them? And that was without Pasqui getting to it...imagine if he did, might has shown the promise the young Roma keeper Saahil is showing.
-Silverbacks get back possession for the first time since that hash of Toffeemen...thought they don't manage to make it much furtherer than half-way.
-They do this time as it reaches Dawson, who finds Helguera...way up front...but Masters, well you know what he did.
-Silverbacks yet, again...Radcliffe disposses this time...no one around, NO one...he takes it forward himself, he runs into the omnipresent Dawson, and it's broken from nothing.
-Min. 29 :(sil) David_Prutton picks out Martin_Dawson with the through ball
... Martin_Dawson throws himself at the ball !

-5 mins to go, time running out as Dellie gets it to Smitthy who passes it back and Delvecchio with some fint footwork gets passes Muchies and then Okon and Hakkinen who can only seem to race on wheels...and Pasqui. gives away a corner, their first in the game.
McAllister crosses and Smith headers...on the line clearance by Hart! Wo!
Smith charges up with that pace we haven't seen in years (minutes actually)...all on his own...he makes a hash of it.

-Hart to Goal, but Radcliffe comes in with a fine tackle and gets is to Rimmer (fluke really) who lobs it to Delvecchio who in turn send to Smith...Delvecchio calling for it?? Why pass then??

-Toffeemen's first medals and they both come in the same season as the dejected and now debt-ridden Silverbacks walk off.
The stands came on, SMFL chief gives a few more words, invites Silverbacks and they come and go with Hickling.
Toffeemen come and...STAY!! Medals given Andy and Andy take theirs and the rest. The trophy is held aloft by stand-in cap'n McAllister as he gets saluted.
