My 1969 Plymouth Sport Satellite

I bought this car on April 5, 2002 from a guy (Mark) who works with my brother. I first looked at the car on March 31. About 30 minutes after I left Mark's house, one of his friends offered to buy it right then and there but he told the guy that he was holding it for me until the 5th. I'm glad that I came when I did or I would have completely missed out on the deal!

On Friday (April 5) I brought the car home. My brother and I gave it a good cleaning. I took it out that night cruising to the local hang-out with my girlfriend (she really didn't mind it too much!) The whole weekend I cruised around in it and then on that following Monday I took it to the bodyshop where I work and that's where the mini-restoration began...

When I brought the car home.

318 ci bored .030 over, Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock 4BBL, mild cam. The air cleaner is an exact duplicate of the one's used on the close-up General Lees on the Dukes of Hazzard. These air cleaners are very hard to find. I planed on using it on my Charger but I sold it.

Here is a shot of the car after we traded rims. These are a set of 10 spoke American Racing Vector rims

Here is a picture of us putting new carpet in the Satellite

In this picture you can see the new carpet in place

Here are some major changes... I painted the inserts on the rims and I added the GTX stripes down the side. The GTX logo is actually a decal used on the deck lid on a '71 GTX.

AThis picture was taken after I washed it for the first time since painting it.

This picure was taken on July 6, 2002. As you can see I blacked out the hood like a GTX or Roadrunner would have been
