My brother's 1979 Trans-Am

This is my younger brother's car. He found it on an Ebay and since it was within the state, believe it or not, my dad placed a bid and drove down to Hattiesburg to see it. We surprised my brother by saying that the guy didn't really want to end the auction early so that he could sell it to us (which he actually did). When my parents got back, they told my brother the car wasn't in as great of shape as it appeared online... just to throw him off.

On Sept. 9, 1999 (9/9/99), after my brother's football practice, I picked him up and brought him home. When we pulled up in the driveway, you could barely see the car parked in the backyard. After a few minutes of standing in the driveway, he finally saw the white roof of the car peeking over the bushes. He was pretty much speachless to say the least.

UPDATE: On Dec.12, 2001 I finished doing a nosejob on my brother's Trans Am. As stated above, the car is a '79 but it has the '77-'78 nose on it. We bought it that way. Jon wanted to switch it back over to the original '79-'81 nose. After searching a few junkyards, we finally found one that was good enough for what we wanted. The nose piece we purchased actually came with everything needed for the conversion except for the lower grilles and marker lights. The nose had two tears in it that I had to repair but that wasn't too big of a deal. While I was changing out the nose we decided that it would be a good time to repaint the back bumper (had various chips) and the rear wheel ground effects (had numerous rock chips). The car looks good and the pictures will be up shortly.
