Dear Sir:
I respectfully tender you my resignation of the office of Captain of
Company H, Thirty-Third (33rd) Regiment of Mississippi Volunteers. In

shattered that life in camp will endanger? my life and being entirely
incapacitated for the duties of the position I hope my resignation will
be received.

Disease chronic splenitis and enlargement of the liver which greatly
impair his health. I would recommend that (he) should be discharged.
