Come On In
You like the kitchen table for fear of messing up
a nice table, couch, or chair,
But everything's useable, lived in, and nothing to
precious that can't be considered dispensable here.
So come on in, cause you can't mess up a thing here.
The fridge door seals are all in decayed form I think,
The garbage disposal is broken on the kitchen sink.
The furniture is all sitting on two by fours,
And you have to slam it real hard, and lean on it,
to lock the back sliding doors.
So come on in, cause you can't mess up a thing here.
Most of the time things are picked up,
But I won't promise you there won't be times that my house keeping
won't be running amuck.
The dishes might need doing,
And there's laundry on the couch needing folding,
And every now and then my bed making will be sitting on
holding......
So come on in, cause you can't mess a thing up here.
Lean back and put your feet up if you want,
Because I sure know that I will lay down and get comfortable
regardless if you do or don't.
I'm not a slouch, but get comfortable I will.
I'm also not a white glove neat freak, cause I know how to live.
So don't you worry when you come to my house.
There's nothing to breakable or to un expendable to worry about.
I'm not going to worry, and I'm not going to whine,
If you drop a little liquid on a sofa on a sofa of mine.
Just get yourself comfortable, and make yourself at home,
Because possessions are not what's most important ant, it's the
family and friends that are most meaningful in itself alone.
