Unconditional Love


Why is it that I can never stay mad at you,
When you do the things that break my heart into?

When I'm so disappointed that tears fill my eyes,
And all I want to do is just sit down and cry?

Why is it that I love you so?
What is it about you that I just cannot let go?

Maybe it might be Your soft brown eyes,
That makes me feel the way that I do inside.....

Maybe it's the touch of Your hand across my face.
Maybe it's the love that you show me in this time and space.

Maybe it's the size of Your intelligent brain......
Nope, I think maybe it's the size of Your heart, and how you can shed tears, as I, Like rain.

It's the size of Your heart,
And how you've made room to give me a part.*

It's the fact that I know that you love me so,
This is the reason that my heart won't let go.

And this is the reason why when you make me sad,
At You My heart cannot stay mad.

For For you are the one that I truly love so,
The one I dream of, live for, and in My heart love so much that I'll never let go.

So when the tears come, and you make me cry,
I just remember the love I have for you inside.

Then suddenly what once seemed so important, I can let go,
And in My heart I'm able to pull You Next to Me, and hold you close.
