JUJUBE INFO.

‘PR’ KOSNIK’S BLACK JUJUBE

A tight-footed, coon-crazy, put-together young gyp, Jujube at 2 years old, is showing all the signs of becoming a great coonhound. Bred out of Allreds’ Kennel in Missouri, her sire is ‘PR’ CROOKED CREEK RAZOR, son of GR NITE CH GR CH BLACK JUICE and her dam is ‘PR’ CROOKED CREEK RAMADA, daughter of John Allreds’ well known male, GR CH ‘PR’ CROOKED CREEK RUBEN. She also has Bill Mack’s and Maurice Meuth’s breeding, with that great GR NITE CH GR CH ‘PR’ CHARLIE’S PRIDE in her pedigree.

Jujube got Best of Show at our August ’99 RQE in Montana, which qualified her for the World Bench Show. This win also made her into a Show Champion. But she’s not just a pretty face! A very fast, lean hound, Jujube is a serious tree dog with one of those chop barks that’ll win a treeing contest. She will run a track, wind that coon and let out a locating chop, then get down to locking on that tree. You know there’s a coon up there when Jujube is treeing!

To round out her training, I have enrolled Jujube in an agility class. She’s an agile hound in the woods. There’s been more than one time that I’ve caught her falling off that low bowed limb, climbing up to the coon. I’d like to use that natural agility and let her have some fun with it. That additional training can only benefit her in her hunting ability.

I really think a lot of this hound and I’m thinking about having her bred next year. I’ll let y’all know when it all happens and when pups are due.
