CRYING RABBIT FOR HEDGEHOG IN DEEP
FOREST
Aim/Objective:
Put team members in close relationship.
Develop team decision and strategy making process
Method:
Find a place with many trees and put ropes between them. There must be as many starting points and correct finishing points as teams; but you can put more wrong finishing points in the game.
At each finishing point there must be some special object which you agree on beforehand. For example: 1 = a bottle, 2 = a ring, etc.
The task for each team is to find their way through the maze to their correct finishing point, but they will be blindfolded.
The teams have 10 to 15 minutes to decide on a strategy. Once they are blindfolded they are not allowed to leave the rope.
Variations:
If the teams are strong, you can forbid them
to speak.
Team members have to start from different points,
but all must reach the end.
Do not allow the teams to look through the maze
before they start.
Materials:
Ropes, trees, blindfolds, special object for
each team
Reflection at the end:
1 What was difficult in this task?
2 Can you discover any relationships between
this exercise and others done previously?
