MONTANA LIVING

THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY COUNTRY PAGE

GOING TO THE SUN-GLACIER NATIONAL PARK

GRAB YOUR HAT, PUT ON YOUR BOOTS & SADDLE UP

GET READY TO RIDE!

THERE IS A PERFECT PLACE ON THIS EARTH AND IT IS CALLED "HEAVENS PEAK" (FITS WITH THE ANGELS IN MONTANA!)
I WILL TRY TO GET A PICTURE SOON!

Montana has so many faces, all the seasons are to be enjoyed. During the summer we have daylight until 10:30-11:00 PM so you can enjoy the whole summer!

The lakes are amazing, and the mountains are like no others. I have been all over the country, (I was a flight attendant for 7 years) and I can say without a doubt, this is the best place on earth.

Now, if you are thinking of packing up and moving here, there are a few downsides. The shopping leaves a lot to be desired, but that is why we have computers and mail order! The wages are about 100 years behind the times and the jobs are scarce, so be prepared to have a lot of time to enjoy the scenery. I always say it is the best place in the world to starve! I would not live anywhere else, but you do have to make adjustments. Believe me, they are worth it.

We have also changed, we do have a speed limit now, which when you think about it, is good-we have so many deer, mountain lions, antelope and bears!

If you decide to come visit, and I hope you do, please take bear spray if you decide to go on a nature walk. It is nothing to be driving along and see a bear along the road, (in remote places that is). Of course, we have a small town called Columbia Falls that is always being infested by bears. They love to pick the apples off your trees and the ground! They are adorable, but are not to be taken lightly. Especially the Grizzly bears, they are so funny to watch. Just don't try to take their huckleberries away! What are huckleberries? They are like blueberries, only better. They even make beer out of them if you can believe that! I haven't had the courage to try it though. Kind of like chocolate and beer, just don't seem to go together. But they say it is good. Whoever they are! The huckleberry coffee is fantastic! NO, I don't sell it, but you have to try it sometime!

We actually still have cowboys and there is a roundup for the buffalo, that is always fun to watch! Oh, I forgot the buffalo range, it is amazing to see these huge creatures meadering around the open, again, they may look friendly, but BEWARE, they don't take kindly to strangers, or people they know for that matter! They like to be left alone, so stay in your car and use your zoom lens!

We also have Elk farms, can you believe that! Yes, they grown Elk on them! There are many Llama farms and Emu farms. (Now there is a sure sign God has a sense of humor!)

This is a majestic state and I recommend everyone see it at least once. If you come this far north, you are not far from Canada, and that is a fun day trip. Of course, the Canadians come down here a lot, so make this your first stop! Glacier Park is my favorate. You will catch yourself saying WOW a lot! Even if you have never said wow before!

I wish I had a dime for every time I hear "I can't believe the people are so friendly!" Well of course we are, we live in heavens arms!

So, if you are ready for the real outdoors, come up and visit. Leave behind your fast ways and relax, we tend to mosey (go slower) than most folks. We are just the same as everyone else, everywhere else, we just take life a little slower. Just ONE of the great aspects of living here. (I lived in the big city (Chicago and Phoenix) and I can honestly say, this is the way to live!

The skiing is great at our 2 ski resorts-Big Mountain, and yes, it is big. And Blacktail, no it is not black.
