It was a cold day in early December when the story began anew. The story was The Universe of the Four Gods. In it, it would have the same characters as before, but also, some new ones. Seven young men and women, each one unique in their powers and personality, will meet as one in Konan, the country of the South.
Together, they will become known as the Suzaku Guardians. Together, with the Suzaku Seishi and the Suzaku no Miko, they will fight the Seiryuu Seishi in a war that will surpass both this world and theirs. For these seven warriors, this will be the adventure of a lifetime...
"Yui-chan, where did you say we're supposed to meet everyone?" Yuuki Miaka, now a young woman with long brown hair asked.
"At the National Library silly. Now c'mon, we're late," her companion, and best friend, Hongo Yui replied.
"Oh yeah, sorry. It's just that, well..." Miaka broke off her sentence before she could bring herself to say what she had wanted to say.
"You still bummed about your breakup?" Yui asked gently.
Miaka nodded. Yui glanced at her friend, wishing their was some way she could help. But she couldn't mend a broken heart. Yui gaze rested comfortably on the road ahead of her, as she concentrated on driving on the icy roads. It was early December, and Yui didn't want to take any chances.
"I just wish there was something I could do, something I could say. Maybe, that would bring him back..." Miaka said hopefully.
"Gomenasai, but you can't make someone fall in love with you, no matter how much you want them to," Yui said.
"I know." Miaka replied.
For the rest of the car ride, both girls were silent, with their own thoughts. Meanwhile, in the National Library, five young women were waiting for Yui and Miaka to show up. Well, actually, four of them were sitting while one was pacing up and down the aisles, trying to find an interesting book to page through.
Ariana Parker sighed and rested her chin in her hands. "They're late, aren't they?"
Aoisieno Minamida nodded, "Yes, they're late."
"Wonder what's keepin' them." Fate Melody commented.
"Probably ice and the likes of that." Willow MacCloud replied.
Natsuyumeno Makoto walked up to her friends and sat down. Minamida turned to her and asked, "No luck huh?"
Makoto shook her head, "Nope. Good God, how hard can it be to find a book on ancient China?"
Her friends just shrugged helplessly. Suddenly, the door opened, sending a gust of wind in along with a blonde and a brunette. All five girls got up to greet the newest snow bounders.
"Yui, Miaka! How are you?"
"Long time no see guys. Where ya been?"
"Cold out ne?"
Yui grinned and answered each question in order, "Fine, we've been busy, y'know, with school and stuff. And yes, it's very cold out."
As soon as everyone was settled around the table, and they all had their book bags sitting on it, ready to pull out whatever was necessary, the girls began to discuss their projecct.
"...So, we need to find a book on ancient China right?"
Miaka asked."Yes," Fate replied.
"And we have had no luck whatsoever trying to find a book to research." Ariana added.
"Well damn, what do we do now?" Yui asked.
All the girls sat pondering, for only a moment. Then, with out warning, as if in unison, all seven of the girls stood up. They all grabbed their assorted book bags, purses, and jackets and left the table. None of them realized they were headed toward the Important Documents Reference Room. As they all piled into the dark room, they all seemed to know exactly where to go. Yui picked out the familiar red book, and set it down.
Once everyone was in a circle around her, Yui began to read the text. As she read, a red light enveloped the young women, engulfing it in it's warmth. Before any of them could cry out, everything went black.
