Brandon and his father were
at home when someone entered their home and shot them. Brandon's mother
arrived home from work to find him and her husband, Neal dead. She has
been ruled out as a possible suspect in the case. No arrests have been
made.

Charged with second-degree murder is Marie Adams, 18, mother of the baby who gave birth to the 8 pound girl in the bathroom of her home, cut the umbilical cord and placed the baby in a plastic bag. Police said the bag was left in her bedroom closet for several hours while she sought medical treatment for profuse bleeding. An autopsy indicated the baby was alive at birth, but forensic examinations were unable to pinpoint the cause of death. Authorities have said the baby died from strangulation, drowning or hemorrhaging.

Abandoned to die by 18 year old Maurice Smith, after he shot and ran over Venus Adams, the baby’s mother and abonded the baby. The baby’s frozen body was found the next day. Smith has been charged with two counts of murder.
