To use a 'dynamic' universal microphone with the old Sony Plus, you basically need some sort of preamp, and an adapter. You can buy those two items at Radio Shack, or just purchase a 'microphone' mixer/amp from Radio Shack. The microphone needs to be amplified and utilize RCA audio cord output jack(s); the mixer amp is the easiest way to do that. (it has both an amp and cord adapter built-in). You plug the microphone into the mixer's mic. input, with the output of the mixer, (left/right audio cord), going into the left/right audio input jacks on the Plus. ***TIP*** Trying to use a computer, (PC) microphone, will NOT work with ANY Plus.
