Monika Crank is a 5'7" Guard for the Lady Wildcats. A senior at University of Arizona, in Tucson, she's got some credentials. An accurate 3 point shooter, she has the stats to back up her defensive skills to prove she is not a one demensional player. Her accomplishments at the colleg level include: 1998 Honorable Mention All-Pac-10, 1997 Team Most Improved Player, and 1996 Honorable Mention Pac-10 All-Freshman Team. Her accomplishments at Page (Arizona) High School are numerous for her Basketball, Volleyball, and Softball playing, which earned recognition from USA Today, and Gatorade. Her academic skills are just as good as her play on the court, or field.
Her '98-'99 season for College ball was redshirted due to a preseason injury to her left knee ACL. So, this season, she's welcomed back to continue her consistent play making on the court. She's looked at as a leader for the team, and also as a prankster. She's in line for some school records in 3 points connected, and tried. She's also the school's top career three-point percentage (currently .390). Look for Monika to wear the #22 in the Lady Wildcats' uniform to bomb them 3's, make the steals, and come through when it counts.
