Towards the beginning of December, I got some info on Ira through email. Well, nearly a week later, I'm finally getting around to putting up the info here on the site. I'll look around and try to get some pics, or maybe more info about the guy, but for now, here's the stuff sent in from Marvin Nez.

The Drake University Bulldogs in Des Moines, Iowa has an awesome home grown rez standout, his name is Ira Matthew Vandever (Navajo), positioned at starting quarterback. He's from Haystack, New Mexico. He passed up playing for Grants High School Pirates to play for McCluer North in St. Louis, Mizzo-rah. Not because he didn't want to play there, but because of personal issues. For the 2000-2001 season, the Drake University team posted a 7-4 record this year under his leadership. He provides a strong offensive attack with running "the option".
