Mar 17 1967 - Billy Corgan born - in Chicago
1981 - Age 14, Billy Corgan saw a friend playing guitar, and discovered his destiny!
1985 - Age 18, Billy Corgan formed the only other band he's been in, 'The Marked'
1988 - First appearance of The Smashing Pumpkins - Billy Corgan & James Iha - in Chicago
Billy Corgan meets D'Arcy outside a club.
D'Arcy, and then later Jimmy Chamberlain join the band.
Band's 4th concert - Jimmy's first appearance with the band.
1989 - First single, 'I Am One', is released.
Dec 1990 - Band starts recording their debut album.
1991 - Debut album (Gish) released. All songs written by Corgan, except 'I Am One' which was co-written by Iha.
1994 - Headlined Lollapalooza tour.
Jan 1994 - The band does the Big Day Out tour in Australia - 20,000 in Sydney
1995 - Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness released
1998 - Adore released
1999 - Recording of the next album & D'Arcy announces she is leaving the band.
