13. Mar 1960 - Adam Clayton born in Oxfordshire, England.
10. May 1960 - Bono (Paul Hewson) born in Dublin.
8. Aug 1961 - The Edge (Dave Evans) born in London, England.
31. Oct 1961 - Larry Mullen Jr born in Dublin.
10. Sep 1974 - Bono's mother died. Later Bono would write the song' Tomorrow' about his mother's death.
1976 - All 4 members of U2 & Dick Evans formed their first band 'Feedback'. This was pretty quickly changed to 'The Hype'.
1977 - Dick Evans left to join another band. 'The Hype' play their first gig.
around Apr 1978 - Name changed to 'U2'.
mid 1978 - Paul McGuiness became manager of the band.
1979 - First U2 show in London, with 9 onlookers!
Oct 1980 - 'Boy' - their debut album - released.
Oct 1981 - 'October' released.
Aug 1982 - Bono married Ali (Alison Stewart).
Mar 1983 - 'War' released, and was even no. 1 in the British charts, & top ten in America.
Jul 1983 - The Edge married Aislinn.
Nov 1983 - 'Under A Blood Red Sky' - Live Recording - released.
Apr 1985 - 'The Unforgettable Fire' released
May 1985 - 'Wide Awake In Amerika' - Live Recording - released.
Mar 1997 - 'The Joshua Tree' released.
1988 - 'Rattle & Hum' album & video released.
10. May 1989 - Bono's first daughter, Jordan, born.
1991 - The Edge & his wife Aislinn seperated.
7. Jul 1991 - Bono's second daughter, Eve, born.
18. Nov 1991 - 'Achtung Baby' released.
mid 1992 - 'Zoo-TV' Tour began.
Jul 1993 - 'Zooropa' released.
26,27(?) Nov 1994 - 'U2 Zoo TV Live From Sydney' filmed.
10. Dec 1994 - Last of 157 Zoo-TV concerts!
1995 - 'Passengers' ein 'special album' released, but not under the name of 'U2'.
19. Jan 1997 - 'Pop' released
25. Apr 1997 - 'PopMart' world tour began.
21 Mar 1998 - Final PopMart Konzert.
2. Nov 1998 - 'Best Of 1980-1990' released.
