A Photo Journey through GenCon 2003!
These are a bunch of pictures I took from our trip to Gen Con Indy last year. For those of you who don't know what Gen Con is...well, you're obviously not a gamer... Anywhoo, there are probably more pictures of Indianapolis itself than GenCon, but when I was actually in GenCon, I was occupied with all the cool stuff. Enjoy!
This is Adam sitting next to me on the way to Indianapolis. Ain't he just adorable?
This is Adam and I together at the first rest stop. Yes, I am aware that I look high. Someone said something really funny as the picture was snapped.
This is the rest of the group. From left to right we have Adam, Rex, Tony, Mike (what you can see of him), Becky, and Bob.
This is the famous RCA Dome. (Duh.)
This is the massive convention center where GenCon was located.
I know it's hard to see but it is a walk symbol with a timer by it! They only give you 25 seconds to cross the road. This was the funniest thing I think I've ever seen.
This is Adam posing ever so happily next to a very large D20. Wouldn't I love to have that in my collection...
This is Adam holding up his new shirt outside of the Hard Rock cafe. I tried to get a picture of the neon guitar, but it didn't turn out.
These are the clocks that were up on the wall at Hard Rock. Thought they were spiffy.
This is Adam resting after a long day of walking and buying and getting free stuff.
A large vorpal bunny eating a smaller vorpal bunny?!
This is the bridge that we had to walk under to get from the hotel to the convention center. It felt like walking in a cave, only the stalagtites were made of bird shit...
This is the ground in some allyway that we walked down in the middle of the night. Was I scared? Nope, I had Tony and Adam with me.
This is a neat clock tower that was on the other side of the park where they held the street party.
This is the monument in Monument Circle. I took a crud load of pictures of it, but I'll only put a few up here.
This is another picture of the monument.
The monument yet again.
And finally the top of the monument. No more monument pics, I promise!
I'm not exactly sure what this is. Adam took this picture, but it's pretty cool.
This is a really cool poster that I decided I had to have a picture of being it wasn't on sale and I love Anubis!
Yup, that is R.A. Salvatore and Larry Elmore. Aren't I a lucky girl. They are awesome guys and I can't believe our luck at getting them both together like that.
WooHoo! I won a roleplaying award. I'm just that damn good.
Creepy statue of a Ring Wraith. Had to take a pic of that. My pic of the orc didn't turn out.
This is the center of downtown Indianapolis. Cool, huh?
We were wondering all four days...What are they hiding from us!? It was locked up tight and the camera pointed at the door instead of the gate. Mysterious....
This is the last day. Can you tell everyone's ready to go home? Yes, I blacked out the obscene gestures for safe viewing... Heh.
Poor Stormer... His trip was summed up in one look....
