The night was perfect.
The moon was out,
parading it its majestic glory.
The stars were unmasked,
by serene clouds hovering on
the innocent, lucid sky.
You sat there beside me;
my precious flower.
Beneath this picturesque universe.
Our bottoms cradled by the moist grass.
T'was quite cold, actually;
but bothered we were not
by that numbing chill,
we kept ourselves warm,
as you nestled those soft lips on my neck.
If you felt my heartbeat;
Either heard my thoughts?
or read my eyes, 'tis clear.
In these arms, you belong.
Together we drown unto the
dizzying, labyrinthine path
of passionate oblivion.
Longing for eternity,
in this fateful moonlight.
In silence, we found each other's mouth,
soon locked in paradise,
gently sucked to Euphoria,
Breathing some air, cherishing this
requiem of a kiss.

Understanding was what we needed,
Yet, their adamant pride &
outdated convictions
hindered the deliverance
of our sole request.
You thought that floods of lies,
Walls of cold concrete & iron fetters,
can procure irreconcilable space
between us?
Hah! We laughed and laughed! We stopped!
Til we grew uncomfortable with silence.
Promising nods of endless time --
we exchanged.
Infinite bliss awaits.
I took a deep breath, closed my eyes;
Right then & there, a sound was heard.
And again! Like eerie echoing drumbeats
wounding the unsteady silence,
& the ghastly stillness
in this perennial night.
Least I recall
you were drawn;
to a blinding light.
I lost you.
Alone, every witching hour, at this same 'ol place,
a meditative reenactment,
o' this Sunken Garden
rendezvous, is continuously staged
in my soul's theatre.
