Soliloquy nth

Many nights I accompany the moon
on its unwavering course.
Together we contemplate the
conceptual theories of misery and joy,
explore abandoned beaches
where souls do not break
beneath the weight of the world...
away from the usual sight
of men and their pretensions,
from the thousand sensations
of sewer and skyscraper,
to a world where the Infinite resides.
And when the air begins
to glow with heat,
and wood and stone are fringed with fire
a tremendous landscape appears
studded with flocks of pigeons,
and the road of the living.
