Our Good Friend, Shadow
Shadow (aka SA Knight Shadow, or on a more personal basis, Shadowman) was an Arabian of our family's that died last year (1998)on September 9 from a Bacteria overload. We were on a Wagon Train when he suffered from Colic, got better from that, but didn't have the energy in the immune system to fight the Bacteria that evolved. He was sent to UC Davis in Davis, California but they couldn't do anything for him and had to put him to sleep. Below are two pictures taken at Wild Mare Campground on the Oregon Coast. He died at the age of 9.
We are really proud of this picture because he hated water. I am in the background riding Champagne, Dad is riding Shadow.
This picture was taken the first time we went to the coast with him. I was really little. So was he!
