We Have a Few Animals of a Different Sort!

This is Chiquita!

She is a BLM (Bureau of Land Management) adopted burro!

That means she was a little 4 month old orphan in the wild & the BLM captured her & I adopted her.

I had to keep her in a safe corral for the first year.

Then a BLM representative comes to inspect her. If she & I pass inspection I get full title of her & she's mine!

Well we both passed with flying colors & Chiquita now spends her days & nights out on the range with the cattle!

Oh! She comes home to visit once in a while! She's very protective of her cows & will chase coyotes & even antelope out of the pasture!

Here's my ducks!

I have 10 of them at present & they all have the same name...Peeps! Well except for one French Blue hen. We call her Blue Duck!

They come when I call them & they make delicious eggs!

Sad note here. Coyotes wiped out the entire flock in 2 months time. I no longer have my Peeps.
