Marit, 16 and Marion, 15, met when they were both five years old in a small town just outside of Oslo, Norway. It wasn't long before they started singing and dancing together. A few years later both girls started acting in musicals like Annie, The Sound of Music, Bugsy Malone and the Wizard of Oz. After a while the 2 figured out that they wanted to keep doing music in their future.
With much hard work, the two scored a record deal and released a children's record (Norwegian songs for kids) in 1994. The record did pretty well and was nominated for the best children's record of the year at the Norwegian Grammy Awards. Marion and Marit got the opportunity to perform on several TV shows, festivals, and radio programs. A year later when the girls headed back to the studio to record another children's album, they realized that they wanted to do something different. The two started practicing guitar and piano and started to write pop songs together. Infact, all the songs on their debut pop album 'Shades of Purple' are writing by both Marion and Marit as well as the instuments are played by them. They began to write their songs in English so they could reach more people with their message.
One of their demos ended up at Atlantic Records in the summer of '98 and they were snatched up for a worldwide deal! All their dreams are coming true and they are very thankful for the opertunity. Their first single is called 'Don't Say You Love Me' and is on the PokéMon Soundtrack.
